CEO

Guy has a passion for green building — and for making it happen in Russia. Born in the UK, Guy has worked and studied in several countries and counts Moscow as his home. "I am a "Russified" European!" Guy co- founded the RuGBC, together with a group of inspired property and design professionals. He is responsible for executing strategy agreed by the board of Directors and members.

Green Building for me is the bringing together of cool design with innovation and smart, joined up thinking. If taken to its extreme, it can shape the livelihoods of our and future generations.

Executive Director / Events & Training Programmes

Prior to joining RuGBC, Elena worked for 12 years at Buro Veritas Group, a leading organisation in the field of environmental management, consulting and certification. Including the construction sector.

More recently Helena was employed as Head of Exhibition projects at MVK International Expo company. Helena holds a degree in History and is experienced in Communications, Quality Control systems and Logistics.

I would love us all to feel great both at home and at work. That they were both "green" environments where we could breathe freely and feel good. What's the point though in home without a clean planet to build it on? I think that these are worthwhile and honorable persuits which I am ready to take part in. What can I do today I do - tomorrow will do even more. Let everyone do what they can today to let us live in "green" houses and work in "green" workplaces, relax in the "green" country houses, on "green" lawns and in "green" cities. Green Building is real and now!

Elena Anokhina

Events Manager

Elena is a linguistic graduate of the Russian State University for the Humanities, specialising in theoretical & applied linguistics. She belives that an ideal system should function autonomously and be well organised - this applies to green building and its impact on the environment.

She has 3 years experience in event management - leading Russia's first expo on trade automation and considers that building the correct platform for interaction between the players in the green building industry is its key driver for growth.

By working in the Council I am uniquely able to observe two mutually connected systems - biosphere, who gives us everything and the economy which seems to be continuously taking regardless of the consequences. I am for preserving our natural capital whilst developing more efficient future technologies.

Alisa Veselkova

Membership manager

Alisa is a graduate of the Institute of Internatonal Relations and Social-political Studies at the Moscow State Linguistics University. Alisa loves social interaction and order. She has taken very enthusiastically to her position at RuGBC which involves integrating new members into the Council's "family" and arranging activities such as working groups, which bring real value.

In early 2012 Alisa is responsible for reforming the membership application process and profiles - bringing a smooth and professional interface to its growing members.

The solicitous and sustainable attitude to nature and to resources is the only way for human civilization to develop positively with green building being one the most important part of the shift. In Russia green building is not so popular and generally recognized as in Europe or America, but I’ve no doubt that it is Russian Green Building Council that can gain momentum for further development of green building in this country. And the fact that even more and more people are willing to work on it is inspiring!
