One of the principal roles of the Russian Green Building Council is to educate practitioners about green buildings. It aims to do this by offering

- round table discussions and forums,
- seminars and workshops.
All addressing various aspects of current green building topics.
In addition to this the RuGBC plans to offer courses in conjunction with recognised bodies such as BRE Global, ABOK and Russian educational establishments.
The RuGBC plans to offer a Sustainable Construction Accredited Professional program. In order to obtain this professional designation, industry professionals will have to complete the Accredited Professional course and pass an examination. The LEED Green Associate credential is intended for professionals who want to demonstrate green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice
