Report: “Renewable energy” / Business breakfast

The first business breakfast in this year was conducted on 27 January. Participants discussed the prospects of renewable energy in Russia. Business breakfast was held in the first BREEAM certified building in Russia – Ducat III , in the Cushman& Wakefield office and gathered about 55 green building supporters.

Remir Mukumov, IFC expert, spoke about the state Program of energy efficient houses realization in Russia. He also told about 5 already built projects and technologies, that were used by construction of this houses.

Patrick Willems, IFC Russia Renewable Energy Program manager, reported about the Program and its goal, made a review of renewable energy in Russia and in the world.

Dmitri Pryakhin, (Hevel Solar) told about the first Russian solar plant based on leading thin-film solar modules technology and emerging opportunity of solar power development in Russia. He also told about the product, it’s lifespan and application. Dmirti noticed, that the main part of Russian territory has favourable conditions for solar panels installation.

Olga Parfenova, Marketing director, BPC Engineering, told about the advantages of biogas using, about consumers of this product, technologies and raw materials for biogas production . She also told about the Capstone microturbine, it’s advantages.

The next business breakfast “Information systems and green building” will take place on 09/2/2011.
